When did you start making music?

I started when I was about 12 years old.

What were your early influences?

System of a Down, Lupe Fiasco, The Specials, Toots & The Maytals, Amy Winehouse, John Lee Hooker.

What effect did studying at BIMM have on your music?

It made me more comfortable with feedback as I got used to hearing it quite often, which is important for any developing musician.

Is there a sense of community in the Irish music scene right now?

There definitely is, it’s really quite special. The scene is incredible in Ireland and I don’t think it’s like that in most places.

What was the highlight of the year?

Knockanstockan and Other Voices, big time. Best weekends ever.

“I love Farah Elle’s music and I think her melodies are so unique.” (Soule)
